What would be the ideal tank size for keeping this massive fish happy? I know that they can max out at 2 feet long and some have said nothing less then 6 feet long to house one. Please tell me your experience with keeping this fish.

Having seen nearly full size adults in public aquariums, I would say a tank at least 8 feet long and at least 400 gallons. Double that size would be better, of course.

I don't think 6 feet long is anywhere near long enough. The tangs in the genus Naso, especially vlamingii and the unicorns, are in a whole different category of tangs.

As Hunter alluded to, if you've seen adults, they get sooo big. I would say 10' x 3' minimum...somewhere around there.
