How to kill a cabbage leather?

I have a SPS dominated tank and a few months ago i noticed a cabbage leather starting to grow behind one of my acro colonies. Not sure how it got there but it needs to go before if gets huge. I've tried nuking it with kalk paste but it doesn't do much but make it uphappy for a while. I would try to cut it off but I feel it would spread more and just keep growing back.

Cutting normally works IME. Hit the part of the rock with a toothbrush to get any lingering stem. Some stem left could turn into another leather but its no where near as resilient as a hydriod or aptasia. Running a little carbon might be cool too because i understand leathers can have toxins.
