I purchased toggle switches to connect to an Avast Apex switch break out box. Unfortunately, the type I purchased are meant to be mounted through a wall or some other flat surface. I want to mount them inside the aquarium electrical cabinet, without any part showing outside of the cabinet. Switches on the outside walls is a guarantee for accidental bumping.

Build a small housing inside the cabinet for the switches to flush mount to. Gives a bit of play on wiring too.

Here’s what I did it’s 1/2in ply wood for the main body. Got a thin piece of plywood for the top square and some 1/2” dowls for the bottom.

How do you mount the boxes so you can get detach and say change a switch?
I was just going to put some screws through it since I never thought about replacing them. Haha. Now I’m thinking a hinge on the top so you can flip it up when needed. Use some sort of latch or Velcro on the bottom for stability.

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
