A GLASS globe works well so long as you only use it temporarily for feeding purposes only. This by no means says that you should use steel, stainless or otherwise, in your reef. Any extended exposure of glass to a reef micro-ecosystem can result in algae growth upon your glass. Please be careful!!

Good call. Is this like a globe from around a light unit or something?

I have to use a cut 2 liter soda bottle. My cleaner shrimp steals everything.

Thank you! I found them at a thrift shop. I believe they were the globe from a lamp. Yeah my cleaner shrimp nabs food for anywhere he can as does my coral beauty. Frustrating!!

I had a similar problem, along with a coral beauty picking at my snails and hermit crabs. 2 days ago he found a new home lol.

I offered my coral beauty free to a good home. Two guys came over and we couldn't catch him. I'd love him gone but don't wanna rip my reef apart to do it. I HATE that fish!! Wicked smart and a total pain in my behind!

I agree...smart little buggers. I had to take most of the rock out of my tank. I set up a fish trap and caught every fish but the coral beauty! I even caught my flame hawkfish which I didnt think was going to happen.

Lol funny!!! That's the conclusion I came to as well that I'd have to take all rock out. I even tried leaving a net in the tank for days but every time I approached the net he vanished in a poof of sand. Such a smart fish!! A total nightmare!

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
