Such invasive little things, zoas are. Don't let them mature. Do whatever is necessary. UV light can help. Just keep pulling them off the rock and then use a UV light. I will never buy any type of mushrooms again. Or zoas!

Like crab grass in a garden. Good luck.

I mean...that could possibly work. However, this could be an ignorant statement...but I already run UV, so what would happen using that?
It doesn’t matter if you’re already running a UV. This one is on a stick and you manually move it around where you need.

I believe he's referring to the Aiptasia/Majano wands maybe. They're a last that is supposed to kill and sterilize the anemones and would, likely, work on Zoas (and potentially any coral/fish) that get zapped.
I’m referring to the UV wand mad for Dino’s, but it will kill anything in its path.

The guy who makes it is on this forum and there is a very long thread about it. https://3dreefing.com/products/sand-bed-uv-sweeper
Can you use that on egg crates ?

worst thing i ever put in the tank was zoas and gsp. Constant battle to get rid of them. Just taking over. Grrrr. Thanks for the advice.

Dont put zoas on main Rock work has being my way of keeping zoas.
I always have them on a separate rock on sand for the same reasons OP has a problem with.
If I was to deal with the problem OP has, I would kill the light by covering that zoa with a "heavy duty black trash bag" zip tie it to the rock, few weeks of that is enough to kill any zoas, or any coral.
I got rid of incrusting montipora this way once

The problem is is that when they do move and you don’t catch them, it’s like they just float through the tank by another spot to land. I have a 350 gallon tank, with over 200 pounds of rock, I cannot always catch when it happens

Forget to add to my earlier post, BTAs are as bad as zoas and GSP for taking over and killing corals. Trying to rid of all (3) of them with little success. Thanks for reviewing.
