how to safely transport tank?

I am so excited I finally found a 72x18x22 135g tank about 2 1/2 hours from here we are going to transport using my son in laws big ole truck! anything special I need to do to keep my baby safe on the way home? I have plenty of those packing blanket things but is there anything that I need to put under the tank to protect it from cracking etc? not sure if it should just sit directly in the truck bed or have something under it?

Might be a good idea to pick up a sheet or two of insulating foam from lowes or homedepot to let it ride on and pack around the sides. Best of luck!

Yes sir the blue sheets. Sit it on a sheet and press down on it to get a snug little fit if possible.

When I picked up my 240 and moved it, I just placed it on a 3/4" sheet of plywood in the back of my truck. It sat perfectly flat. I strapped it in forwards and backwards and sideways. I didn't bother with packing anything around it, cuz if the straps broke, the last thing I was going to worry about was a fish tank.
I figure it sat in the back of a semi truck trailer just on the bed all the way from the eastcoast to the westcoast, a few more miles in my truck should be ok.
