How To Set Up A Skimmer Over Flow Switch ?

I would worry about using an optical switch in a fouling environment. I’ve had issues with the apex optical switches in applications where stuff can build up on them. Mechanical float switches may be vulnerable to sludge buildup as well. My personal choice for a skimmer would be something like the avast pressure switch. You could easily DIY a container and just buy the standalone switch.

Me too, but if we don't keep the saltwater over spray\salt creep clean, both can clog or get a build-up of fog and make a mess.

Tell me about it and price.
Its pictured on the right. I bought the skimmate container combo to add to my skimmer. Skimmer already has shutoff float, so I didn't need it. I also have the plug to hold port as I was going to incorporate it into this container.
