How to successfully keep SPS Corals!

A good salt mix is important however their refractometer might be off. If you are paying someone to service your tank, you certainly have a right to mention it to them and ask them to use another. The same applies to the salt mix that they are using or provide your own. Reef Crystals is a good mix. I keep my water at 1.025-1.026.
The way to raise salinity properly is by increasing the amount on your next water change. For example - If your doing a 20% change then bump the salt up to about 1.030 or even 1.035 in the clean water you are going to add to your tank. You want to raise it slowly.

I use Korallen-Zucht Amino Acid supplement for color.

i simply love these hobby i really do but i live in lebanon wehre ther are all kind of theif who sell the products really expensive...
and what u have their i dont have here, i berly have food for corals and sps and fish so u get what am saying...
thats why i am having problems with the system to keep although its going great but not the best and not at the top....
so i decided as u said ill do my own water change from now on...
ill do it once a month and i think thats enough right...
ill tell u what i find on mondy kind of salt mix...
but i wish if i am at ur place where i can just go onine and search what i want and i order it...
the corals here comes every once per month and they dont bring any....
so thats my story

Sounds like your parameters are on target. I've always found that my SPS seem to look better when I run my alk a bit lower. Right now your alk is up at 10.8 dKH (still within acceptable ranges), but I have always experienced deeper colors when I keep my alk steady at around 8 dKH. Assuming that you don't have any algae consuming nutrients within the water column that might result in false readings from your test kits, zero NO3 and PO4 readings could also indicate that your corals are "starving." You may want to consider dosing something such as amino acids to provide the necessary nutrients. Also, what are you using for flow? A lack of adequate water movement could also result in washed out colors.

A once a month water change is better than none, however a small water change weekly would be better. You can mix the water before hand, when you have time and use it a little later. Just put an air stone in it.

Question. What do you think is the proper distance between lighting and the surface of the water?
I find the corals mounted higher up in the tank have slower growth than my corals that are mounted lower in the tank..
I run 2- 250w SE phoenix halides along with 24 cree multi colored leds for supplementation. Currently the halides are about 6-7" from the surface of the water.
Tank 120g. 48 x 24 x 24

I would like to have someone who Quarantine's all their SPS corals before they go into their display tank, to do a post on how to do it. How they set up their quarantine tank, you buy the SPS coral at your LFS and decide to bring it home, now what do you do with it to make sure the coral is safe to be put into the big tank. I am sure more than a few would be interested in reading this.

It would be great to get a detailed setup from this tank. Skimmer, dosing, sump, routine. Its an awesome tank, this is the reason why I set up my 90. I hope to post the same in 2 yrs time
