Start my reef tank officially today.

I’ve been out of the hobby for 12 years and I don’t know what made me do it but I am back. I bought a UNS40A. AIO diamond glass looks pretty dope. I made a beautiful rock formation which you can’t see in the clouds of the water as I just added water and my sand about an hour ago I had my heater on. I don’t know about the pump so far it’s running. It’s not running strong as I want it definitely gonna pick up a wave maker probably either Jabo or an AI. We’ll see but hey man, looking forward to creating one of the most beautiful SPS nano tanks ever seen this tank will be what I would nickname. The rainbow. My plan is to go from SPS the color yellow all the way to the color, red all the colors in between from one side to the next.

Hey guys, thank you all for the welcome and congratulations to be back in this crazy lovely hobby here’s a photo of what we’re rocking tonight so far on the UNS40A I have to say the pump that they provide is really garbage. There’s nearly 0 flow. I’ve already ordered my wave maker. I think I ordered a Jaboe 8w because we’re 50 bucks you can’t beat it. I’ve had them before. I know it’s a great product and I don’t need to spend $400 on an AI.

I did spend some money on the light, but I got it preowned which was pretty cool. I ordered the auto top off which comes tomorrow.

I got the refuge Jim drop in so I’m gonna do some macroalgae behind the tank. It’s an all-in-one which should heat up a lot of the algae on the tank. I’ve had success with that in the past and I believe I’m gonna add a sock and a protein skimmer UNS sells all of these for that entire tank. It’s a pretty cool thing, but I will give you guys a full review, so if this comes on the Internet and anyone’s looking for the truth on this tank, I’m hoping to give you a factual answer.

I’m curious if anyone else ran into this problem?

Started my UNS 40A with UNS ATO - it sits on top of the tank really clean look … The problem is they didn’t make an area to mount your light to the back of the tank and I have a beautiful XR 15 Gen5 Blue that I don’t plan on removing.

Has anyone thought of creating some sort of makeshift piece of metal behind their tank that they clamp their light on just curious if anyone out there had any ideas something similar to this drawing?

OK, the drawing idea was smart but not needed. I mean at work. I have some new additions. We are moving forward. I have a feeling I will be rocking with an anatomy and two clowns probably by the end of this week and I will start with some records at the bottom and I plan on having the most bad butt rainbow SPS tank for a 16 gallon UNS that anyone has ever seen in the history UNS at least for my 40A

OK, I have now officially 10 frag of Zoe‘s gonna start putting them across the rock in a rainbow fashion. I also lucked out my daughter goes to college in Florida Saint Augustine area and I was lucky enough to find a really cool reef store, bio reef and bought a beautiful rock filled with neon pink mushrooms. It must be at least six mushrooms on there and I believe there’s a baby bounce OG on there the photos which would be a huge win.

Awesome I’m starting to now see spirorbid worms putting my macroalgae in the back of my all-in-one and having that UNS Refugium I feel was genius. I die at Tom‘s have been very minor. I threw in two snails yesterday to kind of clean up the rest of that diet mess but so far I have a month and a half, 16 gallon nano tank that has not really suffered the ugly face for the first time in my briefing hobby.
