For context. I have a Red Sea XXL Max Nano. Just got it like over a month ago. Our furnace in the house we rent needed replaced and my tank is near that location. 7ish feet give or take.

Well from what I can gather, and I can see exactly where they ground the metal from. It looks like there are I would say between 20 and 40 small metal fragments stuck in the glass of my aquarium. As few of them even have these mirco spiderweb cracks that look like it’s just in the surface, but I really and be sure. I’m almost positive that this is something the Red Sea warranty won’t cover so it looks like try to get the landlord to give me two grand or I’m up **** creek basically.

Also our lease technically says no pets, however my landlord does know about the aquariums and actually enjoy it very much. They are just very cheap. He even assisted in the furnace replacement….

Let me know what everyone thinks.

Someone once told me that those metal shaving are stuck to the glass, not really embedded. You might try a new razor blade. Scrape it backwards. Do not turn the blade over as it will have been damaged and may cause more damage.
I have never tried this.
Good luck

I would call the company back out and ask them why they did use any protection while grinding in the house . So then what they did that is what their insurance is for .
