Curing the rock 1 month, and cycling...the anticipation is killing me

Nice build. I really like the in wall corner tank, it's going to look great. I cringe a little bit for the access and in tank maintenance though. I would add a door of some kind in the wall over the tank. You'll appreciate the extra access, especially when your corals get big and start limiting where you can reach.

Thanks @Ratherbeflyen !

You make a fair point and something I’ve been mindful of along the way. My plan is to be specific about what corals I put and where, because 75% of the tank I can access easily and mindlessly. That 25% isn’t impossible but I have to do things with intent. Maybe put zoas or a low maintenance coral the furthest from my reach? Also I’m 6’ 4” and thankful for long arms now more then ever lol. Here are some action shots.

You do have a little more room above the tank that I had envisioned. I would still make a door on the front side though. Something like a finished cabinet door, maybe matching your kitchen, would look like it belonged there.

The trim carpentry is done, tank is stable, corals are growing, fish are swimming, wife is happy — really enjoying the tank!
