Hi, my name is Danny, I'm 39 years old and live in Louisiana. I have 3 kids, 2boys and a girl. I am an RN in the ER at my local hospital. I have been a reef tank junkie for many years but haven't had a tank in about 7 years.

I posted a thread about LED fixtures for a 26g bowfront becauae I know nothing about these LEDs nowadays. I have had much success with MH lighting in the past but I embrace technology and would like to try LED.

I've seen a lot of pics of you guy's tanks and I am blown away by how beautiful they all are. I am going to concenrate on an SPS dominate tank now and start with frags and go from there.

It's nice to be a member of a reef community and I look forward to learning more about you guys and our hobby!! Thanks for having me!

Right on my wife is a RN!
welcome and enjoy !

Thank you all! I'm excited to get back into the hobby!! All these SPS i'm seeing is really giving me an itch i need to scratch!! First things first though, gotta getvthe tank up and running. It's gonna be a slow process since my budget will only allow piece by piece. I'll start a build thread once I get the tank in the next few weeks! All thoughts are welcome and appreciated!!

When your not busy at the hospital keep reading! There are a lot of good advancements that have been made that simplifies a lot of stuff

Welcome home, you'll love it here!!!

Ok, so i found a 46 bowfront, reef ready with sump, return pump, plumbing and skimz 123 skimmer. I'm going to build a stand and buy a light. My question is, are the skimz skimmers efficient? I don't know much about them, i was partial to my old Coralife 125 (don't laugh), that pulled mad funk out of my 58 and 65 that were plumbed together. Technology has really changed in 8 years. Wow. Pics and build thread coming soon. Thanks for the warm welcoms everyone!
