Today I discovered that my large bubble tip anenome split into 4 anenomes. Has anyone ever heard of that. Two are doing awesome but two are trying to mend themseleves and I can see where they are torn.

Please provide any advice. I heard of an anenome splitting but into four. Will the two that are torn be ok Posting picture of the orginal one and the four.

I would just give them some time, just make sure you watch them closely. when did they split? how long ago

I am no BTA expert, but is it possible it got cut up into four pieces (pump, predator, etc.), or it definitely split?

No I do not have a pump that it would get caught up in an no predator. It split up into four pieces.

If it was just today I would give them some time and check up on how they are doing tomorrow

I had one do it during stress from shipment only one survived I hope yours fair better :)

Hey this is great. I remember when you first posted the BTA problem and it looked like it was stressing and was going to split. The color first darkens and then the anemone shrinks. Mine splits if the salinity swings during a water change or I overfeed.

The weakest anemone died. It moved and could never find a spot. Thee parts survived from the split.

Can’t get mine to stop splitting. Should be thankful, but it’s going to get to a point where I need to get a new tank to have the room for corals and nems. the way it’s going. Would be cool to have one giant nem island in a section of the tank.

HOw many times has yours split. I agree. I liked when I had the giant anemone. I was excited about the split but I need a larger tank. What size is your tank?
