Hi.

I have a 310 gallon salt with mostly fish right now and the livingroom is approximately 350 sq ft. My furnace intake is at floor level on the wall and is 5 ft away from the tank.

Issue is that the lower part of the house humidity is 75% give or take and my AC which is only 5 years old and was verified to be perfectly working yesterday.

What are you all using to keep the humidity under control? I ran a portable standup dehumidifier with an automatic drain for about a year and it pumped out about 2.5 to 3 gallons a day, but it still stayed in the 50%.

It is not even over 90 degrees here in Indianapolis Indiana are and my ac runs 12+ hours a day...

What are my best options to get it down to 40 or so percent?

In the same exact boat. Probably not going to achieve your desired goal with out running a whole house dehumidifier. Or sealing your canopy and trying to run fresh airlines in and exhausted back out side. I run a small standalone pumping out the same amount a day but I have accepted the 50% range to control electric cost. I’d be at 70 without. My ac does not run as much as your because my house is shaded but when it’s is on I temporary get down into the mid 40. May want to check the performance of your ac especially if your over sized you want it staying in longer as oppose to quickly cycling up to temp and turning off.
