So I purchased a pair of used Non HD Hydra 52s for $550 for my reefer 425xl, but was thinking of upgrading to either the us version or the 64. Would it be a worthwhile change or could I make the non hd work for mostly lps with maybe some sps in the future

The 52s will give you a 48 inch spread. What's the length of that tank?

the main differences you would notice is that the HD models allow you to turn up LEDs into an over drive mode that the non HD don't have. Plus you get 12 more lights and better spread according to the marketing from AI. Not having to use the director is a nice perk too. I would go with radion blues myself and likely will in the next few months
