I wanted to use this thread to document my treatment and ask questions. I am currently on my second day of treatment for Velvet, ICH and Flukes. I can't quarantine because I have fish that are 12-14". This is FOWLR setup with two UV Emperor Aquatics systems (50W HO and 40W Smart UV) with brand new bulbs.Total volume 300G +/- 20G.

March 30, 2020:
  • Started hypo-salinity @ 1.008/1.009
April 1, 2020:
  • 1:30am:
    • Suspected Velvet in addition to ICH. I started Hydrogen Peroxide H2O2 treatment in DT in addition to Hyposalinity.
    • Treated April 1st 1:30am 160ml of 35% H2O2 directly into the sump. UV still on, Skimmer off.
  • 7.:30am:
    • Salinity: 1.009
    • Ammonia: 0.5ppm
    • Nitrite: 0.25ppm
    • Nitrate: 160ppm
    • PH: 7.8
    • 15% water change
  • 1:30pm:
    • April 1st @ 1:30pm 175ml of 35% H2O2 directly into the sump. UV still on, Skimmer off.
April 2, 2020:
  • 1:00am:
    • Salinity: 1.009
    • Ammonia: 1.00ppm
    • Nitrite: 0.00ppm
    • Nitrate: 80ppm
    • PH: 7.8
    • 10% water change
    • 175ml of 35% H2O2 directly into the sump. UV still on, Skimmer off.
  • 7:30am:
    • Ammonia: 1.00ppm
    • Nitrite: 0.25ppm
    • Nitrate: 80ppm
    • PH: < 7.4
    • 10% water change
    • H2O2: 10ppm
    • 15% Water Change
  • 11:30am:
    • April 2nd @ 11:30am: 175ml of 35% H2O2 directly into the sump. UV OFF, LIGHTS OFF, SKIMMER OFF (for at least 2 hours after treatment).
  • 9:30pm:
    • Lights off
    • Salinity: 1.009
    • Ammonia: 1.00ppm
    • Nitrite: 0.50ppm
    • Nitrate: 80ppm
    • PH: 7.8
    • 10% water change
    • 175ml of 35% H2O2 directly into the sump. UV still on, Skimmer off.

If it doesn't work, I would recommend highly the Polyplabs Reef Medic. I used it on a case of ich in my E-260 and it eradicated it in 15 days without me having to catch/QT my fish.

  • 9:30am:
    • Lights off for two hours before and after treatment.
    • Salinity: 1.008
    • Ammonia: 1.00ppm
    • Nitrite: 0.25ppm
    • Nitrate: 40ppm
    • PH: 7.8
    • 15% water change
  • 11:00am:
  • 1:00pm:
    • H2O2: 50ppm
    • Skimmer ON
    • Lights ON
  • 4:00pm:

just out of curiosity, did you do it with corals in the tank? Specifically anemones? I have some sitting by my tank but I read one review where someone said it killed all their nems...not worth the risk to me (I have a lot of BTAs)

Yes I had a few red carpet anemones all melted :(

Yes, I did it directly into my DT, with all my corals and anemones. Didn't have any issues.
