Hello all! I'm hoping someone can help me out here. I am interested in installing a REME Halo Led air purification system in my air handler. I am being told it will help with day to day allergies and also extend the life of my ac unit.

I am concerned with the hydrogen peroxide that will be released from the UV sterilizer and what effects it will have on my tank. Has anyone had any issued with having a whole home air purification system?

Any info would be greatly appreciated before committing to this purchase. Thank you!

I rate that as zero pct risk to your system. there's simply no risk pathway ever posted that involves uv>generating peroxide>loss of reef tank. it's not on any post patterns, your air purifier system won't harm your reef tank. what generates peroxide is when you put some in your tank, one mil to ten gallons has done some work before in reefing but save it till u need it :)

Thanks! I wasn't sure what would happen when all the particles the hydrogen peroxide attach to would fall in the water throughout the day.

Honestly, I had no idea that H202 was created from this process, I learned something new... hehe
Yeah, I have been looking into the system for awhile and came across this information. Some release a small amount of Ozone as well. I don't want to fix one issue and create another. It's good to know that you have 2 installed and have no issues.
