Hydroid? Jelly fish? Found in pod tank

This looks like some type of jellyfish

This might actually be a jellyfish. It has 8 arms which is fairly common, while the typical hydroid medusoid has a lot more. You can compare it to a recent post in my microscopy thread:

Today I got lucky and found some hydrozoan in its medusoid stage (see Guide to common hitchhikers in reef tanks section 9 where you can find a great image of how it looks with bare eyes). They are pretty common in new tanks, but in my well established tank they have become a very rare sight.

I think it's very fascinating how something that looks like a jellyfish can just settle down and grow into something like a plant or coral.
