Hydros connectivity issues after the latest firmware

i have lost connection to my kraken for the past couple of days, cant connect at all (But can connect to my launch)
i have not tried to trouble shoot it yet as its powering everything still, and i dont want to mess with it until i have time to deal with the fallout if it goes down completely

I have heard of very oddball connection issues from specifically placed devices due to what I might assume to be RF interference from co-located transmitters.
hmm my problem started soon after i relocated the kraken (to the other side of a control board housing several other bluetooth/wifi devices). perhaps this is something to try

How close is the second XP8 you added? I have heard of very oddball connection issues from specifically placed devices due to what I might assume to be RF interference from co-located transmitters. If they are fairly close to each other, you may want to try changing the orientation (rotate 180 degrees) or moving it to see if that helps. Any RF device can succumb to deconstructive interference in the right physical positioning due to wavelengths. I'd recommend giving that a shot, its worked for some other situations I've seen.
Appreciate you trying to help! Thanks for the idea but I doubt that's the issue. The two XP8s are about 3 feet apart. One is inside my cabinet mounted on the right wall, and the other is outside the cabinet mounted on the left wall.

I feel like I've tried pretty much everything I could think of at this point, except completely resetting and reconnecting the controllers. I'm honestly scared to do that because I don't wanna end up breaking things even more. The smart plug solution works, so I think I'll just go with that.

Have you submitted a support ticket with CoralVue for this issue? If not you may want to do that before you reset anything on the collective.
