I have an Avast Plank auto-feeder, and need to set it up for a 10-day vacation soon. What I'd LIKE is to activate it twice a day, which is easy enough, BUT I really want the system to go into Feeding Mode when the Plank activates (my feeding Mode shuts off the return pump and sets the wavemakers to low speed so the food doesn't get blown around and lost in the overflow).

Looking at the Hydros Forum, it appears that you can't have an Output (in this case the Plank) trigger a Mode, which is surprising. But without Feeding Mode being activated, the food gets blown around. Am I missing something?

(I do have a post on the Hydros forum, but often find the answers here super helpful.)

Thanks. I wish there were a better answer, but that helps.

I setup an output called feed mode using a combiner output type and have the feeder as the input. This output has enable advanced settings turned on and the minimum off time set to 30 minutes so once the feeder turns on the output turns on and will stay on for 30 minutes. I then use this output for any pumps I want off during feed mode. I also have it switch schedules on my flow pumps to a feed mode schedule which runs the pumps at 6%. They are MP10's controller by a WEv2. I do not turn off the return pump but the feeder has a feeding tube so the food does not exit the feeding tube until it is sinking.
