Is anyone using a Hydros Wave Engine to control a Maxspect Gyre XF300 or 350 Cloud Edition pump? I know Hydros says no but I’ve heard some have had success with this. Not sure if by 0-10V or direct connect. I’ve heard the theory that the cloud edition uses the same pump as the non-cloud edition, that the cloud and non-cloud pumps use the same connector, and therefor can both be directly connected to the Hydros adapter cable.

Are they the cloud edition version and how are you connecting the wave engine to the XF350s?
Thanks
They are the cloud editions and I am using the hydros dongle for maxspect. I don't think hydros will officially say they will work but I haven't had any issues here.

That’s awesome news! Thanks for posting here. I talked to Hydro and they told me officially they don’t work, but he has heard some might have figured a way. I’m glad to hear you have been successful.

I have run 2 XF330 Cloud and 2 XF350 with the WE2 no problem.

I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents... I have a pair of XF330 Cloud gyres running on a WEv2. I just used the Maxspect drive cable adapters (had to invert rotation of both pumps), and the Maxspect 130/230/330 pump profiles. Absolutely no issues at all.

Thanks. Out of curiosity, why did you need to invert rotation of the pumps?

Thanks. Out of curiosity, why did you need to invert rotation of the pumps?

I had to do it with my old Icecap 2k gyres, this pair of XF330 Cloud gyres and a buddy had to do it with his Icecap 4k gyres too. It seems that there are different versions of some pumps (gyres especially), and they can be wired differently based on when/where they're made. That's why the WE has that setting.

If you plug in and fire up the gyre and it's spinning backwards and/or seems like it's not putting out a lot of flow, just invert the rotation in the app and see what happens.

It's important to note that, in the app, "Invert Rotation" is not the same as "Allow Reverse". "Invert Rotation" establishes the "standard" direction of the motor. "Allow Reverse" lets the pump run backwards in whatever flow type and schedule you setup.
