Of course they will. But this isn't tariffs. This was done on a few websites atleast 2 weeks ago. Before the tariffs were announced.

The intended outcome is not for Americans to feel it. The intended outcome is to force manufacturers to bring their business back to the worlds largest consumer of their goods or pay the price. Eventually Americans won't need to consume those items. Atleast 2 Canadian food manufacturers have already said they are moving to America where 80% of their business is conducted.

Just out of curiousity - what are the two companies? I hadn’t heard.

I won’t go into the rest of the post as I don’t think we will agree. I believe we will see more and more of this due to rising tariffs. Maybe it will make CoralVue switch to all American components? Who knows. I just lost my job but instead of going to the US, the business went to China, and now our product will no longer be made with US steel. It’s all a bit unpredictable.

dang! I actually know someone who works at one of those places, at least according to their linkedin. That's too bad.

Oh well, I guess America will steal our companies and stick it to us, their allies. Maybe EU or China will be another option for our (Canada) trade. Hard to believe we sent boys to die for American wars just a couple decades ago and now they are waging economic war on us.

I think you misunderstand why it’s being done. America has been getting the shaft for a very long time. America sends everyone money. Funds massive world organizations. Buys everyone’s products. And then countries try and stick it to us. Enough is enough. The tariffs aren’t economic warfare. It’s recouping what is owed. It’s funding securing our borders which benefits both countries. It’s repaying us for paying more than our share in organizations like NATO and WHO etc.

This isn’t a thing attacking Canadian citizens. It’s trying to tell your corrupt government that we have had enough and to work with us(secure your dang border) or we will take your money from tariffs and do it our self.

I live 45 mins from the Canadian border. My best friend is Canadian. This isn’t a personal issue. It’s a means to an end.

Once Trudeau is gone I feel like change will occur. But that needs to happen first.

It is called a trade deficit. Please do some research into the trade and how much Canada and Mexico owe the United States.

Tariffs aren’t in place on any product on board prior to 02/01/25, so several weeks before that inventory would arrive and also existing inventory also isn’t impacted. Has to be some other driver at this point? Interesting to see. Luckily I got most of my equipment on sale for Black Friday.
