Hi, quick question about the wave engine, can it only run pumps like the tunze 6040 (dc pump with controller already) or can it also run something like a tunze 6020 (ac I think, only on/off)? I think it can control the 6020, but can it make the speed of flow change and make it random? Or can ac pumps not do that at all (or is the ramping very noisy on an ac pump or something?) thanks

The Wave Engine cannot control AC pumps but DC tunze pumps can be controlled through the 0-10v port. I do not believe the Tunzes can be connected directly like coralvue pumps can.

The Coralvue website suggests you need two adapters for the Wave Engine which passes instructions through the Tunze Controller not directly to the pump. Software consolidation not hardware at this point I believe. Even multiple Tunze pumps need their own controller so this is not so surprising to me.
