I recently setup the Hydros X10 on my reef tank and I want to use it to dose Kalkwasser for PH control. I want to dose Kalk if PH drops below say 8.0, and stop whenever PH rises above 8.01.

All I have been able to do it set it to dose a set amount once PH drops below 8.0. and with this, it will only perform one dose. If PH drops below 8.0 a second time, no correction is made.

Has anyone been able to configure the start/stop of dosing based solely on PH?

Which dosing pumps are you trying to use. If it is one of the ones on the X10 itself then those are smart dosing pumps so they require a dosing schedule to run. The only smart doser at this time you can set to run constantly is the Sole. So with it you can set it to run constantly and then use the depends on in that output to follow another output you have setup to control it. There is a limit to the number of times per schedule you can dose but you can use multiple schedules if needed to add more times. Then you can setup an output that is on when you want the kalk to dose using pH for the input. Then set the depends on in the schedules you have setup for Kalk dosing for that output with a dependency of off if off. If the output is on when a scheduled dose is suppose to start the dose will start. If it is off then the dose will not run. I did this to use a smart doser as a ATO pump. I think I had it set to dose every 15 minutes and used a couple of schedules to do that.

You can always get a Hydros simple doser and connect it to one of the drive ports. With it you can use it in a regular generic output setup since it is not a smart doser. I used one as a ATO pump using the ATO output type. The Hydros simple doser has a fixed flow rateof 43ml a minute.

I'm trying to use one of the dosing pumps on the X10. I will look into using the Sole. Thanks!
