Hey there! I emailed support but have not heard back, so I figured I’d make a post in hopes another reefer can help me.
I am currently setting up a Hydros X4 with a Wave Engine. I cannot seem to add the Wave Engine to the collective and cannot delete the X4 from the collective to start over either. I have gone through the resetting of the WiFi and Factory Reset on the X4 to no avail. The Wave Engine just repeatedly flashes red then white. Any help or guidance is appreciated! I need to get this set up ASAP so I can transfer my livestock to the new tank lol.

Are you connected via command bus with a terminator in place?
Yes. I have the power adapter hooked up to Hydros X4, a 6ft Command Bus cable connected between the X4 and WE. A terminator is installed on the WE.

You need the WaveEngine power supply hooked up to it. I’d use that and power the C4 via command bus. The WaveEngine cannot power the pumps via command bus and needs its own power supply.

Power the WaveEngine, connect C4 via command bus, put terminator on each end. Try that first.

Pretend the XP8 isn’t there, this is what the power and command bus cables should look like… a single terminator is ok

So I will need a Terminator for the x4 AND wave engine? Or just 1 on the x4? Also, I have the 4 plug WiFi bar (that came with the X4 Starter kit)—am I able to add that to the collective or is it done automatically? As far as the collective goes, is there a way to delete it or will it allow me to add the Wave Engine once I properly hook it up via the power cable? I’m sorry for so many questions! Lol

Thank you so much! This is super helpful. Please disregard other message. I just now seen this one in regards to using a single terminator. I will purchase an extra just in case :)

1 terminator on the C4 is fine, they do say 1 on each end of the collective is better. The WiFi strip will need to be added. Once you get the collective set up, you’ll go to WiFi devices and add it there.
