Hygger New cross flow pump HG166

Well I got my new Hygger HG166 cross flow pump . Hygger has stepped it up with this one . It’s got flow directors , light up controller and even the power supply has mounting tabs . So far this is steps beyond the previous ones I have tried . Putting it in the tank tonight and will post back how I like it . Here is a link you can check it out .

Are their CS......100%.
Blew out my power supply on my HG042. OLD unit...(4 years old) Out of warranty. Contacted CS, email reply within 1 day. Quoted $15 to cover shipping and new powersupply on its way to me.........

Got my powersupply...and works like new....just wanted to let you know their CS is awesome.

I’ll second there CS is awesome! I picked up a pump off market place and it was missing the one adapter size I needed. Contacted CS paid $8 for shipping and they sent the entire pump fitting and gasket set.

same...I run mine mode 4 57% at highest.....wait until you discover their heaters LOL.....

Update
I am very please with this pump . On the highest setting it has a little hum but with my 5ft tank I cannot turn it all the way up . The hum isn’t bad it’s just one of those things . Out of all the Hygger pumps I have tried this one has impressed me the most . And in general Hygger customer service has been really responsive and has gone and beyond . I bought one of there heaters of a big online site that they had a store on . I screwed up and order the wrong wattage . When it arrived I contacted them not knowing it was my fault and even with it being my fault they were willing to replace it with the one I wanted . Most other mfg would have just said your fault not our problem . I will definitely keep giving this company my
Business .

I was considering hg-166 25W vs the HG-070 12W for my 27 gallon 20” cube. Sounds like might be too much. How far can the flow be turned down?

For a 27 gallon it would be way too much flow for it .i would look at the HG-070

Sorry I was looking at the wrong pump . The controller lets you adjust it down pretty low so the 25 you should probably be able to turn it down enough to work
