I kept getting algae blooms in my 40g QT tank . I looked around and came across this Hygger 11W UV . I have several Hygger products and have been very pleased with them so I figured I would give it a try .
Here is the unit

The controller is very simple to control. The unit has and adjustable shade . I have it almost all the way closed. I have the unit right by the overflow drain .

I am very pleased with unit and would get it again . Now do I expect it to Kill any parasites not really but it did a great job of clearing in the water in my QT tank . Here is a link to the unit

I got the 3W for my 8 gallon and have been super pleased as well. My issue was Dinos because my Macro keeps bottoming out my phosphate and nitrates. It took care of the Dinos and has been definitely helping with water clarity.

They do work really good , I needed something for my qt tank . With multiple feedings trying to figure out what the fish will eat was giving me some algae issues . This did the trick and cleared the water up .

Im new to reeling. Starting a tank this week. I have bought a few Hygger products. Wavemaker, Gravel Clesner which i can do water changes with, and that UV light you got. Ive been testing the products and they seem very good. I have nothing to go off of lol. Just happy with the prices and options they have.

I have been using there product for about a year now so far everything has been good . I did have one issue but the CS took care of it fast . So for now I am sticking with them

Hygger has had some serious QC issues with their heaters and people have posted electrocution hazards (both fish and people) with them.
