I have a 55 gallon with sort of sturdy rocks. Would these guys work?

Urchins are hard working and really help to keep the aquarium clean.

If your rock has algae growth on it then you can sustain one.

Get them small because larger one will "wear" your frag plugs if you have these in your tank.

Are you collecting them locally?
I am. I have a great spot with great water quality and I want to eventually breed some
