Here’s something you didn’t see coming, how many of you aquarists eat fish? ;)
Nothing beats a good Friday night Fish Fry :)

Yep... all the time... feed my fish fish too... from an ethical standpoint that's pretty shocking... imagine buying a dead dog, eating half yourself and giving the rest to your dog!!

Routinely.

I think I freaked out the guy at the LFS because I keep some simple fishing gear in my truck all summer and he saw it.

But to raise a better question, who goes fishing?

My family had a seafood business and we eat fish or shellfish a few times a week.

Nothing better than Lake Erie Perch or Walleye :)...that being said, I don't think I could ever eat anything that I would keep like Lionfish, triggers, etc.

I'll one up you, who eats their fishing bait? I've had cricket soup before. Didn't taste bad but the legs get caught between your teeth!

When I was a little kid on camano island, we would go out in the middle of the night in summer with nets and high power flash lights. If you shined the flashlight about 1/8 - 1/4 mile out in the water, you would see a wall of eyes.
They were dogfish herding the smelt onto shore. We would climb out on rocks that stood above the water and pull out nets of smelt with a brief dip into the water. They were everywhere. Occasionally we would get a dogfish or two. Then we'd cook everything up down there on the beach. The dogfish was a bad idea, you're supposed to let them bleed before you cook and eat them if I remember correctly.

i love seafood and fish .. yum yum... NO Fishing in my reef tank or Marine Pond .. no no no

I dont eat fish. Its not that I think theyre gross, but when I eat them all I can think is that they were in the water swimming around not too long ago.
