It’s been about three days and I’ve tried feeding and got one of them to eat barely but then they haven’t shown much interest. Is this new for newly added fish or something wrong?
What food have you tried to feed? Have you tested the water? Can you share the ammonia and nitrate level?
Seeing the clowns up near the surface, and seeing the surface so flat makes me wonder if there is enough oxygen in the water. I would suggest to add a powerhead and aim it at the surface to help with oxygenation.
Assuming all your parameters are within spec it is not uncommon for tank raised clownfish to take time to adjust and eat. Most likely they are used to pellets. I've seen it take close to a week for some. Like Bryman stated TDO pellets are good. Get the small at first. I've also had luck starting fish on Golden pearls (500-800 micron size).
We need the tank parameters and your set up. If i remember it might have been you or someone else yesterday that had clown fish problems and said salinity is 1.025? Which is a bit low ideal is 1.026-8 i recommend the higher salinity at 1.028. What salt are you using?
If they are not eating pellets try flake. I use to use new life spectrum food and my clowns and other fish were always healthy and beautifully colored. No phosphorus problems either
New Life Spectrum® Optimum Flakes use the Spectrum Nutrition Formula. They are suitable for smaller, surface feeding community fish. While pellets provide higher nutrient density and stability in water, this is a great solution for those fish conditioned to flakes or as a transition from flake foods
