Hey!
So I added a new fish 2 days ago, and the first 24 hours the tank was a bit of a war zone while they all reestablished their territories.
Thankfully things are looking calm now, but I noticed me bicolor dottyback got a pretty decent injury to his side :(

Anything to look out for while he hopefully heals?
He’s eating well, I just want to make sure I don’t miss something..
It’s like a bite taken at him. He had some flesh hanging off him last night, which now fell off

Keep your water Params pristine and it should heal.. if it turns into a bacterial infection he will need qt and medicine.. dotty backs can be devils!

Do you have ample rocks in your tank with plenty of caves so the fish can establish their own zones?
Yeah they each have their place, they were just all trying to show each other who was boss for a day lol
He got a little beating, but he’s expanded his territory I think, so he’s probably pleased

If they are new I think some territory establishment is normal. It happened with all of my tanks. Don't stress too much. If it keeps happening or he doesn't heal then its an issue.

What fish are in there? Was the dottyback the new addition?

The Dottyback actually isn’t the new one.
But him and my Australian Damsal started off as mortal enemies, and then they finally calmed after like a week or 2 originally.

My bet is that when they all started re marking their territory, they had another fight, never seen it that bad, but things are much calmer today than yesterday thankfully
