I did it again, new scorp.

I can't help it; I see guys like this in a lfs and I just know, he has little chance of a long happy life. The lfs didn't even really know what he was, other than being a scorpionfish. No idea at all how to even care for him. Scorpaenodes caribbaeus, while not presently the most colorful, he may brighten up and display some brighter red coloration as time goes, or not. He is cute and very alert, a classic small scorp, that if I got the ID right should stay about 3" or so.

They do keep an orangish coloration throughout their lives. Also, keeping decorations in there that are orange & red in color will sometimes help in maintaining color, it helps with their camouflage, kind of like an angler. Good luck
