I dislike emails

seems no matter what box I tick or un-tick I keep getting emails concerning threads I have participated in here at R2R.

Please,,,, help :(

You have to click on your name and click on preferences not alert preferences. Then uncheck all box's that you want. I did that when I started on here and haven't received any emails besides featured titles.

I unticked those already. But I again unticked all of them - saved - went back & ticked what I want. Lets see what happens.

That's very strange as my settings nearly mirror yours and I don't get emails for every response.

What are you using to sign on to the site? The website itself, the app, tapatalk? You probably did, but did you hit save after picking the ones you wanted?

I think what happens when you make changes, is it saves those settings for any future threads you post in/are watching. So, you won't be receiving any emails for those.

However, you will still receive emails concerning any threads you participated in from before you made the change. For those, you have to manually unwatch the thread. You can then select to watch them again, and the system will give you the option of whether or not to receive emails.

Exactly what @Humblefish stated. For all your old threads, you'll have to manually change them by un-watching and then re-watching to stop the emails. I am still doing this after being a member for almost 2 years ;)
