I have a bare bottom tank and was just siphoning out my little pile of debris that accumulates over a month. Was cleaning out the pump and cleaner head and found these little items. At first I thought it was chaeto strands but the more i was messing with it with a dental pic, i noticed long hairs or tentacles at what may be a head. Maybe it is a combination of trash that is something more than what it is, but I am curious if it is something bad.

All the corals are fine but i have been losing a few fish lately, coincidence?

That is a sink strainer to give a size in scope, holes are about 1/4" diameter.

Disregard the pink blob in the second picture.

I pulled something out looking like that in my ball of cheato. It was some kind of worm. Very smooth looking but it was defiantly prickly
