I forgot...

[OA3B]

hey community

I picked up these beauties from lfs. So excited that I forgot the names when I got home:cool::D. (Newbie! o_O)
Could you all help me with their id?

[kchristensen8064]

First one looks like a hammer coral, the second looks like a duncan.

I believe kchristensen806 got it right!

aka:
Euphyllia ancora
Duncanopsammia axifuga
(in order of appearance)

Unless the first pic is a torch? my eyes don't see well.
Euphylia glabrescens?

someone will set this straight.

[DSC reef]

+1 for hammer coral, euphyllia parancora and a Duncan coral (duncanopsammia axifuga)

Did they reclassify the hammer since I went to school? I really am getting old :)

Correction:
Ok then, For the OP you can see that even old folks on here get excited about these corals too, so much so that I forget that we're looking at a branching hammer coral (what you have) and not a wall hammer, ( the scientific name of what I gave you was incorrect)

Thanks DSC for helping us out! :) This place is like that.

First one looks like a frog spawn to me. Looks exactly like mine.
