As we all know about the cycle of the tank. Fish eat food and produce ammonia. Bacteria breaks down that ammonia into nitrates and phosphates. Algae uses this to grow.

My idea is to use an algae that fish love to eat and use it to soak up the nutrients of the tank, eliminating the need for a water change. And eliminate the need to feed the fish.

As for the Alk, Calcium, and Magnesium there are additives to help keep those stable.

Sounds like a great plan, go for it!
