So I have a friend who was getting out of the hobby and he gifted me a princess damsel. The fish is absolutely gorgeous but I’m worried about aggression in the future.
Give me your thoughts!
75gal display (20gal sump)
Stock list:
Mixed Reef Coral (SPS, LPS)
2 Picasso clown fish (mated pair)
1 flame hawk fish
1 brissletooth tang
2 firefish
1 six line wrasse
Assorted inverts.
Tank and inhabitants have been together 6 months.

So far he hasn’t seemed aggressive. But that may be because he’s brand new.

If it’s your last fish, it might be okay.

Any new additions might be tough given the damsel and sixline

He will likely establish a spot or area that’s “his” and chase others away. Once they get a little distance he will go back to guarding it

New fish will be greeted with aggression for a period of time

Hey if you don't mind, can you update this thread later on... in a couple of days, couple of weeks? I'm just curious how it will turn out, thanks.

So far he’s a model citizen!
