I need help with a bacterial infection.

Looking for some advice, my zoas are dealing with what seems to be a bacterial infection. I’ve ruled out pests or something psychically irritating them, it started with one colony but has now slowly spread to others. It looks like some sort of brown algae is starting to grow on the polyps. Unfortunately they’re on the rock so I can’t remove them which means I’m limited to in-tank treatment options only.

I’m thinking about trying Chemiclean and I have a small amount of Furan-2 (nitrofurazone), but not sure if its enough for a full dose. Has anyone had success treating this type of issue in-tank? Here's what they look like as of today. I really hope I don't lose all my zoas.

Any tips or experience would be really appreciated

I wouldn't do chemiclean on a thriving tank to help some zoas. Have you done a recent ICP test to check everything in the tank?

I agree with you on the Chemiclean, it can be pretty harsh. Furan-2 seems like a much gentler alternative. No need for extra aeration and it doesn’t wipe out the beneficial bacteria which is a plus.

I sent out an ICP test yesterday so we’ll see what that comes back.
