Taaaaa Daaaaa!

Above is my outgoing stress that is going to make me have a heart attack.

I love the look of 420nm lights but obviously these diodes can not go more than a few months without BURNING BROWN

So.... the plot thickens

Through SB Reef Lighting..... the owner commented on his YouTube that there are SILICONE BASED 420nm diodes that dont burn up. 99% of the diodes sold on eBay or Amazon are clear plastic and WILL burn brown eventually. But they do make in CHINA silicone based lens.

From my past posts, some of you sent me to distrubtors, like mouser, etc etc. Pages upon page of diodes that arent even the footprint i require above. Its a wild goose chase to say the least.

PROBLEM: 3 phone calls, 4 emails to the Owner of SBRL asking if I could possibly buy these silcone based diode lens through him... ZEEEEEERO communication.

So I'm left with doing my own research.

I have up-teen emails sent out to all the eBay/Amazon Sellers to locate these "silicone based" 420nm'ish diodes that dont look like el'bbq diode above.

Sooooooo..... anyone have INSIGHT on these silicone-based lensed diodes?

if I find the Answer myself... i WILL share with everyone

Not the answer you're looking for but why not just add a single t5 to get that spectrum? Sounds way easier.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
