I'm in the process of upgrading my 47G AIO to a 90G with sump.
The new tank is being placed somewhere else and has been set up since Friday evening. I've been dosing PNS Deep Cycle and Microbactor 7 daily as what I have on hand. I've put in some new rubble rock in the refugium space in the sump along with 2 out of 5 bags of bio media from the existing tank.
In each bag there's about 1.5 boxes of BioMax or 500ML of Seachem Matrix. I've also moved almost all the rubble frag rocks from the old tank into the new tank.
I'm hoping to get this old tank moved into the new tank ASAP as we have someone that is interested in purchasing our existing tank.
We are planning on moving the whole aquascape from the existing tank into the new one while adding piece to the scape.
We are also using a new sand bed in the new tank.
We did a Hanna Ammonia test and that came out to be 0.07 ppm when using their equation they give us it comes out to be .001ppm.
Is it safe to move everything into the new tank Monday evening?
How should we get the Alk, Mg, Ca to match the old tank in the new one?
