Bought it Nov 2021

It has directional connectors and the ballast counts down to bulb change and it has replaceable sleeves so the PVC doesn't degrade eventually and so on. My Aqua UV was just a tube, idk where they factor in their cost.
The aqua uv pees me off a bit when you realize outside of the funky bspp threads it's just about all off the shelf pvc. They are making their cash for sure, lol. I never paid full price for one and don't intend to.

Ya my Aqua UV was used, certainly not worth what they ask.

Although when I got my lifeguard it was almost $200 cheaper then the price now. What a differences in price in just a year.

Paid $238 in 2021 and $412 now

A lot of people want it to control parasites, why I was asking :)
It does not control parasites but reduces risk as it can only address what passes through the water column of the unit

Buy them? When it was a brand new unit from BRS? That’s outrageous to even suggest
AquaUV ships them with either the 2" slip connector or the 2" to 3/4" reducers, but not both. Sounds like your issue should be with with BRS
