I was hoping the added CUC would get to what was under the Cyanobacteria before it grew back. I will keep blowing it off for now with water changes until I catch up. I can do this longer than the red stuff can hold on.

To be clear. I am not interested in any chemical treatment. I know it works for some, but the less I do now the better.

I'm dealing with some pouty hammers in my tank right now. I'm not sure why they occasionally get so pouty to the point of writing them off and then bam...prettier than ever.

Just a little dip in the reef rollercoaster, as in life, the frustrations not conveyed in words here are the ones that grind you down. Hope that picasso pops back up. Holding my breath for you Bri, hang in there.

This too shall pass.

Mine do that when my mag gets a little low.

Thanks for the support, friends. This was the maelstrom during today’s Cyanobacteria blow off. I know, the tank is ugly. It will improve in time.

Tank was up to 82*F when I got home this AM. Usually around 79-80*F. First day with a second unit. AC is adjusted. Cyanobacteria has not yet returned, but I am ready for it.

Absolutely. Hair algae in a small tank can be tough right. CUC already in right?

When it rains it pours, I hit a recent snag with my tank as well :( Reefing is a exercise in patience, as you said things will improve in time, nothing but a small bump in the road :)
