Yup stir up very dirty sand, scrub tank and sump makes anemones do the shuffle then boom here it comes.

Had one did deep cleaning then two. Two made three to my surprise. Before I know it had over 10 and managed them for a while. Did a big cleaning and they all did the shuffle while some walked. At that point I knew it was going to be ugly. In the end I had 23 I believe.

This anemone is known to be a big splitter from locals who purchased the same batch. LFS didn’t want any of the splits but when I had 23 you bet I walked in with a few and said suck it up. We both laughed.

But wait, there is more!

Took a ton of pictures tonight. Not my best, but I am going to share them anyway. First off you may notice above in the FTS, the right side looks slightly different. I knocked the anemone rock over again and had to rescape. I made a lot of room in that area which worked out great for placing the new RFAs. You will also see the anemone rock is now pointing toward the right instead of the left. I really liked the other way how the shape flowed with the left structure. Now though, I feel like it is opening up and kind of a more welcoming look.

You may also notice the clone anemone is now sticking out the top of the rock in a couple of places. I assume it came out after resuming normal lights.

That image looks like two anemones, but from the side, it still looks like it is just one. I cannot be certain if it split or not. It is too deep in the rock.

I am loving all of the color now along the front and right of the tank.

All three RFAs moved. By the end of the day they were all self secured to the Starboard bottom.
Beautiful choices bud. So sweet watching the color come back to the cave. <3

BTAs though are not the only fun anemones. I am learning RFAs can be a lot of fun too. Mine kept moving since I got them Thursday. Traveled far too. Well, I think I found the culprits.

Ugh, I should have known, hermit crabs! At first I thought they were hijacking it together. Then I realized one was hoisting the RFA onto the other hermit’s shell.

By the time I saw it the RFA was firmly attached. Ugh. Well, at least the kids had a great laugh watching the little RFA bopping around the tank riding the crab all day.
Ubers here!

Also added a pair of Porcelain Anemone Crabs. One went right into the original BTA on the right of the tank. Clownfish were very curious, but no aggression. They mostly stick to the clone anemones on the left.
