I just tested out my saltwater light (a Prime 16 HD). I should have gotten the hydra. Now I have to get another Prime. I need (want) a 36” spread.

I'm on the same boat but I'm glad I didn't get the 26 or 32, instead I'm going to add another prime hd that way I get better spread and I can aim both which ever way I want. Just depends how you look at it. I'd rather have 2 primes than one 26,more flexibility.

Is it too late to return or exchange the light?
BRS has the most ideal and max spread available on each light which is super helpful :)

They make diffusers for the Prime?

3rd party vendor makes them.

Personal experience with the original Prime HD’s dictates that although a little more costly, 4 Prime HD’s are a smarter investment than (2) 32’s. In fact, BRS did a video comparison that shows the +/-.

It’s also what I use with an Aquatic Life hybrid T5. Which I don’t think you can do with the 32’s but I am not positive. Just my $.02

If you got the hydra 26 or 32 you could have gotten the reef brite xho f-26 upgrade that attaches to your light and could have got good spread and great par. Cant do that with the primes

Not out of the box but I've thought of 2 ai primes with 2 xho 15in on a custom mount. Would be an awesome set up for sure.
