I was just flashed for the first time

Do any of the Cirrhilabrus wrasses display to the degree that Paracheilinus do?
Some Cirrhilabrus can, but they certainly don't do such with the regularity Paracheilinus do.

I've got Lubbocki ... which do extend their fins but not the dramatic displaying that flashers do.
And to that point, you must not have seen lubbocki in a nuptial state then, as they'll get a lot more dramatic than just extended fins. :)

What one or two fairy wrasses would you pick for their display.
For me it's johnsoni.

So I guess I need to start paying attention closer to the tanks bedtime to catch him flashing.
Fish almost always spawn at dusk, hence why that's the lighting period you'll want to watch.

Looks like they all develope the black body.
Unless kept dimly lit, it happens to the species.
