I woke up this morning and my longspine urchin was dead.

I woke up and he was dead, i dont know what could have happened, everything else is ok including my other urchin (blue tuxedo). I checked my water parameters yesterday and they where fine. I got him 2 days ago, i was worried because some parts of his spines where turning a bit gray yesterday. I have no clue what happened, any help would be great thx.

sorry i would imagine he was already on his way out when you got him. A lot of these dudes slowly starve to death.

As above, no matter how good your water and acclimation skills are that was one you would have never won, not your fault at all IMO.
