Currently upgrading my 55 gallon to a brand new 75 gallon. Also upgrading my filtration by getting rid of the Fluval 406 and going to a sump (Ice Cap Reef 15).

I'm completely clueless on sumps. Never have had one before or put one together. What should I put inside for sump for filtration (what type of media)? Obviously you need a protein skimmer in there, but any other suggestions from people who have successfully had a sump would be greatly appreciated.

This is going to be a fish only system. I keep my tanks on the lightly stocked/semi lightly stocked bioload.

https://www.marinedepot.com/icecap-15-reef-sump.
Is that biggest sump that you could fit in there?
You will need a skimmer with the pump on the inside?
I would either get the Simplicity 120 or the smallest Eshoop cone skimmer. Bubble Magnus Curve 5, you sump is very small I have the Eshoop version so it is very tight. I would call Marine Depot and BRS which skimmers will fit in there as well before you purchase.
