Ice cap 660 ballast

Has anyone ran the 660 and if so how long per day did you run them , I have it running 4 54w T5s and it seems to be alot of light from the looks of my coral, I need a par meter!!!

I would venture to say most everyone that ran T5 early on had a 660. I just retired mine, but ran 4 660's for 5 years average 10 hours a day

The key point is certain bulbs (ati blue plus) will burn fast so you need to keep them very cool on the power end of the bulb, and it really doesnt hurt much to flop the bulb every 4 months or so as the one end burns hotter

Thanks for the tips , I have noticed that one end is allot darker then the other, and 1 more ? how high off the water?
