Hey guys,
I have a question about T-5 lighting...i know it runs cool but i am thinking about getting a 6.6 gallon tank from petco. This baby will be going into a desk. I am looking to find the right t-5 light for this tank. I would like to grow acans, some Lps, and rainbow acans as well as zoas in it. I want the colors to pop. I currently have a MH sunpod that is doing a great job but i know i am going to have a heat issue this summer. Also, my iceprobe paint is chipping and the alum. is showing. Anybody have any suggestions with what to do??

here is the tank :)

First I would recoate the iceprobe with some epoxy to seal it up. Lots of aluminum in your tank is not good.

On the lights. I would look for a 4 bulb 24 watt T5 fixture, should be around 10 inches wide or so, but will work for that tank, and will give you plunty of light for that tank.

I don't know if Hellolights still has any, but the did have some on clearance a month ago for about $125.
