Had an triton ICP test done of water from 11/04/2022 it reached the lab today and the images below show their results.
My tank seems to be running fine coral seem fine fish seem fine but aren’t these results from the lab crazy? Phosphate especially? I know my phosphate is high but ?? I’ve done tests kits at home with Redsea and salifert and these were my results for that day

Mag 1480

Cal 440

Nitrate 25-50

Dkh hanna 9.2 redseaa 7.6

Po4 0.1

I have confirmed my accuracy of using tests kits in the past via comparing them to ATI Icp tests and the results were very similar so I concluded that the way I was doing tests was fine. But with these results it seems like I’m colour blind and my tank is in horrible shape.

This was my ICP results from 12/2020 I haven’t changed anything since same salt being used - water changes every 2 weeks no dosing only thing new I introduced is chaeto in the sump to help with nutrients.
Is it worth doing another ICP tests with ATI maybe and seeing the results because this doesn’t make sense to me.
I only done an ICP test as my alkalinity with home tests kits were different so much so wanted to see which one was right and triton don’t even check for that ***

What the hecc is happening with the iodine in that test. Any clue what the error margin is on these?

They said they can’t measure the iodine proeprly due to the high phosphates but I feel like this can’t be right as I hardly have any nuisance algae in the tank

Im no expert but it seems almost impossible that your phosphate reading is correct. I wonder how often there is some kind of major testing error with icp tests.
£35 gone like that il get a ICP test again all I wanted was nitrates and alkalinity too

I don’t believe alkalinity can be tested with an icp test. So if they give an alkalinity reading it’s just someone doing it with a test kit like everyone else can do…. Or at least that’s what I’ve read.

I don’t know if they’re available where you are from, but saltwateraquarium.com offers a mail in test that tests the standard parameters. I’ve never used it but I know someone who does and they had a good experience.

19 ppm phosphate is suspiciously high.

I wouldn't judge whether phosphate is high base don algae becausde if anything else is limiting it (and many elements can), phosphate at anything above 0.1 ppm might all have the same algae issues or lack thereof.

I'd get a confirmatory test somehow.

My salifert test kit has shown 0.1 for the last 1 year it’s defiantly not above 3.0 let me do the test and show y’all the picture of it

Here’s the readings today which were very similar to what I saw on the day I took the sample for the ICP test. Now I know it’s higher than it should be around 0.1 - 0.5 but it’s no way near the 19 that the icp stated any ideas?

ICP tests are nice enough but if there is nothing wrong visually with your display and you are happy with it I wouldn't over react. Send the ICP vendor an email with your results from the same sample day and ask for clarity. I feel too many hobbyists see the results then immediately reach in the cabinet for something to dose or correct which leads to bigger problems.
